All Kagayaki Scissors are 100% Handmade in a small family-run factory in Tokyo Mr. Kagayaki was a traditional Japanese sword maker before turning his skills to the manufacture of fine quality scissors which are then distributed by his family worldwide. Unlike many mass produced Japanese scissors, all Kagayaki scissors are cut, shaped sharpened and polished by hand. Because each pair is unique, a feature of our scissors is that there may be slight variances between each pair. Our scissors are generally more robust than many of our competitors because of the quality and design . Because the manufacture of our scissors is done by hand, we only produce in limited quantities, therefore you are buying a unique piece of Japanese craftsmanship.
