At SSD we don't believe in gimmicks or novelty scissors. We only sell scissors that have proven quality and are value for money. When considering which scissors to buy there are several key considerations. At SSD we will be happy to help you to make these decisions, either over the phone or face to face. Like any product, all scissors are not created equal, but without considerable knowledge it is hard to distinguish one brand from another. Key considerations : What brands are available? What style do I want ? Do I want European, Hybrid Japanese or hand- made Japanese ? What should they be made of ? What type of blade do I need ? What size of blade do I need ? Our advice would be to always buy the best you can afford, you really do get what you pay for !

Knowledge is power, the more informed you are about the tools you need, the better the choices you can make and avoid being conned by clever sales gimmicks.
